Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney born Amal Ramzi Alamuddin is an English-Lebanese barrister, human rights activist and philanthropist. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive career in the fields of human rights and international law has earned her acclaim internationally. Her clients include several prominent nation states, such as Armenia and its struggle to get the Turkish government recognize that there was an Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney arranged for American actor George Clooney to marry him in the year 2014 and immediately became a household-name in popular entertainment. Years before this though she was already famous and respected in legal circles because she consistently represented her clients with skill and the success they have achieved. In the past, she has dealt with human and social rights concerns, to representing several multi-national corporations in court proceedings and negotiations over federal regulations. Since 2015, she was a barrister at British courts in Doughty Street Chambers.
