Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz as a child. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young at the age of 16. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is known for her work in numerous important projects in both the US and internationally. A few of them include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being a jury member at two festivals: The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
